The Clubhouse in Tanunda is now a major community sponsor of Foundation Barossa and will be assisting with the operational support of the group in their efforts to provide for people and causes close to the heart in the Barossa Valley.
Jack Ferrett, manager of The Clubhouse said, “We chose to support Foundation Barossa as we felt it was a great alignment, particularly with us being a community club.”
Foundation Barossa is a community foundation which encourages philanthropy and provides a vehicle through which the community can help the community for the long term and The Clubhouse felt their support could make a difference.
“We support the community predominantly through sports clubs but this provides us with the opportunity to support the larger Barossa community.
“We see ourselves as a community venue and we recognise the terrific efforts of Foundation Barossa in helping those in our own community with opportunities and support they may not otherwise receive,” Jack said.
The Clubhouse will be helping Foundation Barossa with financial support, including offering a venue for meetings and events, publicity, administration and legal requirements.
Leanne Hutton, executive officer of Foundation Barossa said, “We are very pleased The Clubhouse is on board with us and their operational support will certainly make a big difference in helping us achieve our aims and we thank them immensely.
“We rely on community sponsorship from groups such as The Clubhouse for their generosity to operate and remind donors that all funds to Foundation Barossa are invested in perpetuity, and stay in the fund and interest from these funds is distributed annually to local community groups.
“This way the capital remains intact and the giving continues forever,” Leanne said.
Foundation Barossa is currently seeking partner sponsorship arrangements with businesses that hold similar values and interests in investing our local community for the future. Foundation Barossa proudly accepted a cheque of $1000 from the Seppeltsfield Social Club. The donation has been attributed to our Stump Jump Scholarship that we continue to need much needed funds. Renee Rowe from Seppeltsfield identified with Foundation Barossa Stump Jump Scholarship due to her relationship with our current recipient Liam Buckley. Renee and Liam had attended school together and she said “it is great to know the person who gets the support and that we can support people within our own community”. Foundation Barossa continues to seek donations for our Stump Jump Scholarship and to cover the cost of ongoing administration. If you would like to know more about how to support our local community please call Leanne on 0411 307 433 or email info@foundationprod.wpengine.com.
